Autism friendly - T-mobilitat
A cognitively accessible center for autistic people
The T-mobilitat Center is committed to being a welcoming, understandable, and respectful space that embraces the diversity of all individuals. As part of this commitment, it also addresses specific needs such as those of autistic people by incorporating cognitive accessibility measures that promote a clearer, more predictable, and safer experience. In this regard, several support elements have been developed:
The customer service office includes an augmentative communication system with visual aids that help improve understanding of the space and procedures. They are pictograms adapted from the ARASAAC portal.
An adapted procedures guide, developed by Autism Friendly Club, is available to explain step-by-step how to carry out different procedures at the center (card registration, renewal, replacement, etc.) with clear instructions, visual supports, and accessible language.
- This guide helps anticipate the experience, reducing uncertainty and supporting autonomy. You can download it here.
If you need to self-regulate during your visit, you can ask the staff for a sensory kit that includes items to help manage the environment. The center also has a quiet space where you can rest if needed.
T-mobilitat Center staff have been trained by the Autism Friendly Club to better understand the characteristics of autistic individuals and provide adapted, empathetic, and understandable service.
