What are the T-mobilitat subsidised profiles?

  • T-mobilitat subsidised profiles are for people who are entitled to a discount on social transport passes.
  • In some cases, these profiles are granted automatically, as they are based on the person’s age; in others, it depends on a social or economic condition that must be proactively proven.
  • When a user has a validated subsidised profile activated on their card, they can purchase the related discounted passes at any sales point, from the mobile app to vending machines or authorized outlets.

Which profiles can access to a discounted passes?

  • PROFILE NAME: Jove
  • FOR WHOM: available to all T-mobilitat registered users under the age of 30.
  • HOW TO APPLY: granted automatically and cannot be renewed, as it expires when the person turns 30.
  • RELATED PASS: gives access to purchasing the T-jove.

  • PROFILE NAME: T-16
  • FOR WHOM: this profile is for all users under 16 years old who register for T-mobilitat.
  • HOW TO APPLY: granted automatically and cannot be renewed, as it expires 6 months after the person turns 16.
  • RELATED PASS: entitles the minor with this profile to request the T-16 card; in this case, the adult who registered the minor must complete the process.

  • PROFILE NAME: FM/FN General and Especial
  • FOR WHOM: people with a single-parent or large family card (general or special category) can apply.
  • HOW TO APPLY: it can be accredited via the personal area of the website, or via the T-mobilitat app (we recommend the app if using a mobile device). Also in person at T-mobilitat customer service points.
  • VALIDITY: the profile is valid for the same period as the submitted documentation; if the card is renewed, you can extend the profile validity by submitting the updated documents through the same channels.
  • RELATED PASSES: gives access to purchase the FM/FN fare range:
    • T-usual FM/FN (general and special).
    • T-jove FM/FN (general and special).
    • T-70/90 FM/FN (general and special).

  • PROFILE NAME: Employment
  • PARA QUIÉN: pueden acreditarlo las personas en situación de desempleo que buscan trabajo y cumplen una serie de requisitos. Consulta en esta página los requisitos y la documentación necesaria.
  • HOW TO APPLY: it can be accredited via the personal area of the website, or via the T-mobilitat app (we recommend the app if using a mobile device). Also in person at customer service points listed here. 
  • VALIDITY: the profile is valid for a maximum of 90 days; if your situation hasn’t changed after this time and your documents are renewed, you can extend the profile by submitting the documents again via the same channels.
  • RELATED PASS: entitles you to purchase the discounted T-usual, a pass offering unlimited travel for 30 days at a reduced price.

  • PROFILE NAME: T-verda
  • FOR WHOM: this profile is for people who have scrapped a polluting vehicle and meet certain requirements. Full information is available on this page.
  • HOW TO APPLY: via the web form on that page, or in person at the T-mobilitat Centre or AMTU.
  • VALIDITY: valid for 3 years from the date of accreditation.
  • RELATED PASS: allows you to obtain the T-verda for free, an integrated pass that provides unlimited travel across all fare zones in the Barcelona area.
